On Wednesday, June 3, at approximately 12:30 a.m. UIC Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1200 block of S. Union St. Upon arrival, a witness reported that a black male wearing a black AC/DC shirt, blue jean shorts and white shoes displayed a handgun and discharged the weapon toward a silver vehicle while standing in the middle of the street. The vehicle then fled southbound on Union St. The offender also fled southbound on Union St. on foot. There were no injuries reported.
The Chicago Police Department will lead the investigation. Anyone with information should call 311.
